Acceptable use

Subsigno can host the images that go in a signature — a logo, a photo, a banner — on img.subsigno.com. This page says what may not be in one, and what happens when it is. It applies to every hosted image, including images uploaded on a customer's behalf. It applies equally to where a hosted banner's link leads. It does not apply to the signature editor, which stores nothing and hosts nothing.

This policy is awaiting legal review.

Who is responsible for an image

Whoever provides an image is responsible for having the right to use it — the photograph, the logo, the mark and anyone appearing in it. Sending us a file is a statement that you may.

We do not review images before they are hosted. That is not an endorsement of any of them, and it does not make anything on this page optional.

What may not be hosted

Sexual or sexually explicit content.

Child sexual abuse material.

Content depicting, promoting or making light of the sexual or physical abuse of any person.

Animal abuse.

Violence, or content that promotes, incites or glorifies it.

Hate speech, or content that attacks or degrades people for who they are.

Counterfeit goods, or marks used to pass work off as somebody else's.

Malware, phishing, or anything built to deceive the person who receives it.

What happens when something breaches this

The content is blocked. We do not owe notice first and we do not promise it.

We preserve what we have about it — the file, when it arrived, and the account it arrived under — because a record is what makes a decision reviewable afterwards.

Child sexual abuse material is blocked and reported to the competent authorities.

Hosting can be suspended or ended, for a single image or for an account, and we do not refund on that basis.

Reporting something

If you have found a hosted image that should not be there, the abuse page says how to tell us and what we do next. A URL on its own is enough to act on.
